Went out in the morning on Sunday 1/6 off the point. Walked all the way to the end and slowly moved out checking the ice. Anywhere from 9-13 inches depending on where I checked. Had a few marks in 8ft of water, seemed most were hugging the bottom pretty tight. No bites, using gold larva fly jig with waxies
36° - 40° F
As my first ice fishing adventure of the season I decided to hit up millers bay, I marked a heck of a lot of fish today but couldn’t hook up to a single fish. I drilled 1 hole & stayed there for 2 1/2 hours. It was amazing to see the different schools of fish that passed by through the graph, I just couldn’t get anything to bite, one second it would be blank then the next second I couldn’t even see my lure. Used a jigging rap, micro rippin rap & a small tungsten. It was fun getting out but the sun gave me a headache & sitting so long on a milk crate isn’t exactly the best for your knees & back so I called it a day & drove back home. I did drive by the next bay north in Keenville & there were at least 50 people there compared to just me in millers
Caught a half dozen small perch and one small walleye using spoons and red spike. Nothing of size, but fun.
fish 24....let me know if you go out there and how ice is.ive been thinking bout trying this bay to.p.m. me if youd like.
