Rumor has it an area business person is obliterating the crappie population in this body of water. Apparently a Panoptix camera and 14 buddies means it's alright to swat 80 crappies a day and then post it all over the internet.
Looking for a productive ice fishing lake. I bring my wife and kids- 2 daughters and son-on a half week trip each year. Found a cottage on this lake that looks nice on the south-west end. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
The smallmouth fishing on this lake is pretty good. Fished here last August and caught quite a few even with terrible weather. Try casting craw colored cranks on shorelines. You can also work plastics shallow around the islands. (tubes, senkos, craws) I used the Gary Yamamoto baby craws in rootbeer and pumpkin. Work them slowly. You will also have a good chance at a musky. Real good population in this lake. Not a whole lot of size though. I attached a map of with arrows pointing at good spots to pick up some bass. It nothing happening there then just work the shorelines. Its a small lake and you should be able to figure it out quickly.
Good luck and enjoy
I see not much posted activity for this lake. I will be on this lake with my two kids ages 15 and 10 for the next couple days and would really like to keep them busy catching something. This is there first real "up north" fishing excursion so if anyone has any recent info they could share it would be much appreciated.
Any tips for some waldos and muskies
