Ok I believe you Toyo.I forgot a retired co-workers son put some type of equipment thru the ice several years ago.He worked for city of Mequon.Sure was weedy last time I was there.Must be springs in there.
I live in Thiensville.Last time I was there in summer with my bike. That pond was too weedy To fish.Sure you weren't at the pond closer to the river?
I was out for an hour yesterday. Same as you I marked what appeared to be some nice sized fish but only could catch some small panfish.
They could be bass, I’ve pulled decent bass from here during the summer
21° - 25° F
marked non stop fish off bottom some marks decent size but only managed on small gill to actually take. Are there any fish in here worth fishing for, or is it just small gills/bullheads
Stopped by for an hour today to kill some time before I had plans. Ice was very safe on the west side of the pond, i found anywhere between 3 and 5 inches. The ice seemed sketchy east of the pier
Marked a lot of fish right off the bottom at around 10 feet of water, but couldn’t get any to bite.
Stay safe out there
