Anything happening lately on the piers?

Hello fellow pier anglers...I am wondering how many of you have had success fishing Coho this time of year and if it's worth my time to drive over and try?

Also a couple questions regarding conditions... Like with the Kings in late summer is there a specific wind that helps bring these Coho's in close to the piers? (i.e. Warmer river water dumping into the lake, or west winds pushing out cold water).

I've done as much research on-line as I can but nothing helps in regard to what water (warmer or colder) these Coho are seeking.

I would appreciate any helpful input. You can always PM me if you prefer.

Thanks!

went out sunday for some night fishing at 11pm. Sad to say not a hit all night off the bottom. Seemed best time was in the morning between 5am and 7:30. one 13 pound salmon was pulled on the north and the south pier did much better. After 7:30 it all died down. I left at about 8, was a long night.

I went out 3 days ago fished 11pm till 8am and i caught 1 13pound salmon at about 7:15. One guy at the front of the light house also caught one salmon, and the south pier was getting a few also. So waited a day and went again at 3:30am and fished 4 hours with no bites. One guy caught a 3.9 pound rainbow and a couple on the south. I plan on heading out early monday morning and will keep you all posted. seems there were in, and than back out. A few here and there but at least there starting to move in little by little.

Went out last night on the manitowoc north pier and my friend and I had no luck. We fished from 7 to 10 casting spoons. One guy had 3 salmon and another had 2. Will have to try again soon.
