Lake sounds kind of interesting but all reported are a few years old.

Anybody fished there this year and stayed at Zastrow’s resort?

Family looking to try a new place.

That may have been true 25 years ago,but I don't have any trouble catching walleye and smallmouth bass on Lynx. You may have to work a little harder than on some other lakes but the scenery and absence of boat traffic is worth a little extra effort.

I read the book "Time on the Water" by Bill Gardner as a young fisherman in 1987. This lake was a dead sea 25 years ago. Bill pretty much said that if his worst enemy needed a place to fish he would no send them to Lynx! Good Luck!

Wildcat Lake has good walleye, muskie, and panfish. The launch ramp is 1/4 of a mile south of County B on County M.It has a good ramp with plenty of parking. You will go by it on your way to Zastrow's. Big Horsehead lake is a good walleye and panfish lake. The launch ramp is located on County B about 11/2 miles east of Presque Isle. It is a new ramp with a small lot.Boulder Lake just north of Boulder Junction is another good lake to try.The ramp is located of Airport Rd. just south of the airport.

Family vacation planned this year in mid-July. Will be staying at Zastrow's resort. Have not vacationed in Boulder Junction area. What are some of the better fishing lakes in the Boulder Junction area for Walleye, Panfish or Northern?

Family is looking at vacation at Zastrows next year. I noticed that the lake details on Lynx Lake states that there is no ramp access to this lake. Are there private launches so that I could bring my own boat?

Muskie Kid we just got back from fishing Lynx Lake out of Zastrow's Resort. This is a hard lake to fish with all the structure present on the lake map but after talking to some other fisherman at the resort, none of us has had any luck fishing any of it.I will tell you where I have had the best success. This lake is mainly a smallmouth bass and walleye lake with good musky and very few panfish of any size. The best area of the lake is the west shoreline from right in front of the resort down to the first island. There are dozens of cribs that hold smallmouth bass during the day. These cribs are located in 10 ft of water with some being marked with a bleach bottle under the surface. The fish on this lake relate to wood so look along the shoreline for any downed timber and cast right into it with a jig. Also try the southeast point of the first island on west shoreline at dusk for walleye.Last week I caught smallmouth up to 21",walleye up to 18",one 40" musky, and many small panfish around the cribs.I hope this helps you out but since you are going up later in the year conditions could change.
