Out on long lake right now,  is there a night bite? Or am I just wasting my time.  Damn fish just are not cooperating! Very frustrating! Kevin!

Ice441 I was on Pine on Saturday and the ice depth past the sand finger in deeper water was 8". Thursday it ranged from 5-7". Ice was thinner towards the North East side.

They catch a few walleyes every year and the one they catch are huge. I have fished out there for years and still do but have never caught one yet.I am hoping one day to get a trophy. Alot of northerns in the lake but mostly snakes, though of course some huge ones also get caught.

I have a cabin out on hwy 22 in Waupaca, and fish regularly many of the lakes in the area. I had heard about Long Lake in Waushara county ,near hwy W I believe, and that walleyes are a common species in the lake. I went out on the north end in about 25-35 ft. of water in the north end on a drop off trying to catch sum eyes and maybe a pike er 2. I ended up catching 3 pike total, one lizard (pic in the shack, two about 22in. each(the ones in the other pics), and one about 30in.. The day I caught those it was actually a warmer day, the day right before we got hit with all of the high winds and cold actually, the temp. was about 40ish degrees and i fished from 2pm till 5pm. I went out again at around 8pm till 12pm the next weekend once the lake was safe to drive on. I went on the edge of the hump near the bottle neck in the middle of the lake, and was attempting to target sum eyes. I set up and caught a few rock bass on tip-ups, but didn't catch a single eye. The guy at the bait shop and many other people Ive talked to have told me people do pretty good on eyes on this lake. So, I was wondering if anyone knows if they are all just full of it, or if there really are good eyes in there. Im not asking for any hunney holes (but will be glad to hear them if your willing to share) of anyone's, I just want to know the general area or depths they are being caught at, and at what time. If anyone knows sumthing, and dosent want to share their secrets with all of the lake link community you can email me at [email protected] . (id be more than happy to share any of my secret lakes and info in return)
