Can anyone tell me how thick the ice is thinking about going out today

Drove by tonight after work. Main lake looks open. The north bay still has a "shelf" of ice covering about 1/2 of the bay. Shoreline is open.

went out for a bit, looks like a nice lake. I just went from shore to try some new stuff I made to make sure it ran right saw a lot of gills, but ill get boat out there by the weekend and hit the docks and shorelines for some bass may even throw some stuff for a pike or 2. I didn't get anything but a little dehydrated if that counts hahaha!!!

Be careful the ice by the road in the kettle is no good. Got out this am and fell through to my knees on the way off. Will take a couple cold days to freeze that back up.

I apologize if this has been asked recently, but is there a place to get on at the north end of the lake (the kettle) even if you have to pay to park?

Also, if anyone has a report on how the ice is on that end of the lake that would be great.

Thanks

Went out this last sunday evening with the family. looking for the crappies and bluegills and couldnt get a single one to bite. Around 6.30 we hooked into some bass and pike on the northwest side of the main lake. All undersized. Nothing like it use to be. LETS GET THIS THREAD GOING AGAIN. Tight Lines All.

Slopbobber I wouldn't complain. Few years back they killed the weeds and fishing went downhill. If theres some decent weed edges thats the ticket out there.
