Fished from 3-5pm. Nightcrawlers on a slip bobber; 4-5ft. Found some big gills, bass on a spinnerbait, crappie on 1/32oz fly jig on slip bobber.
Bite was slow, but they were nailing it every time.
Took my son out Wednesday the 19th. We were going to go to red stone but with the warmer temps decided to head here.
My 4 year old had a blast catching little pan fish.
While he was doing that I was trying out a few new jigs and plastics. Caught this 18.5" bass doing so.
Good way to waste time while waiting for the rest of the kids to come home.
I hadn't fished Lee Lake in a few years because of the draw down to repair the dam. The repairs are finished and the lake is at full pool now so I decided to try it instead of driving elsewhere. I went on an exploratory trip starting just off the flag pole and moving towards the current break off the bridge. I marked many fish but they were sluggish I was jigging tungsten teardrops one white, one orange. The orange seemed to work better. Mostly bluegill, nothing huge, but consistent. I think I will go back as soon as it warms up and try for walleye on tip downs.
These are videos of trout fishing on several streams near Cazenovia. Enjoy!
I went out tonight. The ice is pretty thick I didn't measure it. Caught a bunch of perch and bluegill. Most of them were small. I kept one nice crappie and one big perch. I fished from 345 to 500. I was wondering if anyone knows about the population of walleye and northern in the lake. I have heard that a couple people have been catching trout but I haven't been able to catch one yet.
Fished the last hour of light tonight. Went out more to see how the ice was than actually fish but i did catch 2. lost one at hole.
2 1/2" ice everywhere i drilled. Went 3/4 across lake. Drilled about 20 holes.
Ill give it another try until Redstone/White Mound has good ice
