If you live around the Delavan, Lake Geneva, Elkhorn areas and use the BG Road launch for your small boat you better get to the meeting posted on Delavan Lakes thread! Because I can promise without a 100+ people there to explain why it needs to stay open it will be closed.

Taking wheeler out
Went to landing last week, saw sled tracks going out but I didn't drill any holes. Was told there fishing it,I'll be out this week.
Was there last weekend for about 3-4 hours and didn't get anything worth keeping. Tiny bluegills.
Has anyone been on Lorraine this winter?
31° - 35° F
Was out yesturday, a summer kill makes sense to me now since I didn't see nowhere as many fish on the camera that I have in the past. And had to use alot of finesse to get them. I agree catch and release is needed. This is mainly a winter lake for me, let's make it a quality lake again. The ice was 4 to 5" of clear ice with a couple inches of slush on top. Made me pucker a couple of times breaking through the slush but solid underneath lol.
Tight lines and be safe.
There was a big die this summer. They sprayed the lake with weed killer when the surface temps were over 80. There were a lot of bass and crappie washed up on the shore. This combined with over harvest several years in a row a few winters ago when they ran ice fishing derbies out here the panfish are very stunted. Lake is definitely going through a down cycle last 2 years. Please practice selective harvest on the panfish this winter! This is only a 150 acre lake.
Was out on Saturday just checking the ice. I live just off the lake. There is 3-4" of solid ice but lots of slush on top. I'm not taking my ATV out yet.
