Went out today hoping to catch a few bluegills for a meal. I caught 10 in the 3 to 4 inch range. However even the carp are dieing in this lake. We saw about 200 dead and decomposing carp floating all around the lake. I would not eat any fish out of lake Emily.
Going up after I go to bed and wake up lol. I was wondering how she’s been? I haven’t seen her forever... is she putting out any action worth while? Bluegills or eyes? Even pike for fun? Thanks! I’ll post a report tonight if anyone doesn’t convince me into not going within the next 6 hrs
Fished today with wacky worm off my buddy's pier from 930 to 1045 5 Bad 22,19,18 18,17 ,1 snake gatoror blue gills to small to keep
Dock is in. I had no idea about the regulation changes for Emily.....10 panfish limit, lmb 14" and a pike protection zone of 25"-35". I love the pike change. I wish that would be on Fox too.
The panfish change is interesting, I thought the issue with the size there was overpopulation/stunted growth, but that tells us it's over-fishing.
Anyone know if the dock is in at the launch?
I was out there on Friday and there was about 14+in of ice and about a foot of snow with high drifts and there was no water on the ice. We were a ways in front of the landing.
Possibly able to fish this weekend and was wondering on the travel conditions out there. Trucks able to get out ok or atv's? I am asking due to the amount of snow with drifts and there has to be water sitting on the ice under the snow.
fished all over on my atv. 11 or more inches of ice everywhere I drilled.
Lake is never safe in the middle if the aerator is on. Should be roped off if it’s on. I would skirt the outside to be safe to get to the other side.
Gotta be safe give her!
