Does anyone know if there are any plans to control the weeds in this lake? Haven't been to this lake in probably a month and a month ago it was already becoming unfishable. Just curious.

Pikepole, I drove to the landing this past Sunday to take a look. Lake is still pretty much locked up but I wouldn't trust the ice that is out there anymore. Looks VERY weak. I didn't get out of my vehicle but by the looks of it, I wouldn't risk it.
Any info on ice reports? Safe or ice out?
Clarissa read the reports just before your post...they are pretty spot on. Not sure what else you need.
Heading to Emily this afternoon... looking for a good spot for pan fish or northern. We just want to catch something, and you don't have to give us your secret fishing spot either
Below 40° F
26° - 30° F
Fished north end today, 7 short northern and 1 keeper at 26 3/4. Kids had a blast !
Been fishing here for 3 or 4 Saturdays now on the edges of the lake, been catching plenty of pike, in the 20-25 inch range, and a couple 30s. Also caught 3 or 4 nice bass, a few 19 inchers and one was 20 in. Have not jigged for panfish yet and wondering how the fishing is in the middle of the lake.

Went out January 28 with another person. Had a decent day on the ice. 7" of ice when you first get on with 4 inches of snow/water slop on top. Once you get to the 7-8' depth, gets up to 11" of ice with same amount of slop on top. Vehicle tracks were present along with ATV/UTV tracks. I would NOT drive my truck out under any circumstance. Watch out for the eastern and southern part of the lake. Ice is sloppier and thinner. One person put trees out where the guys swam earlier this season. Stay dry!
zhuntt - you are absolutely right, but you also can't catch what isn't there.
To catch fish you have to go and try instead of sitting on here whinning that there are no fish because of the meat hunters.. put in the time and you will be rewarded...
