Was out yesterday (7-21-19) from about 1:30-6:00 p.m. Never have seen this lake so dirty and stained before. Weeds are pretty bad as well. Took the girlfriend so I didn't really fish for bass or pike. Fished for gills and manage to get on a spot in about 6' of water and catch one after another. All catch and release since that's what this lake needs right now. Let them bluegills grow a little. Was a really nice day out on the lake. I did cast a little but no luck other than weeds.

Nothing worth keeping really. Cant fish anywhere in this lake without bringing in a hook full of weeds! So frustrating!:(
Whats happening on Emily. Any Gill action?
This lake is a great tip up lake. Perfect for going out with family and friends and getting a good amount of flags. I suppose that's why early ice this place gets pressured so hard. Nevertheless, a group of buddies and I combined 72 flags and 52 fish Saturday and Sunday this last weekend (yes I do keep track). Out of all those fish only 3 pike at legal size, 26" each. All of which are still swimming. This lake is full of hammer handle pike but there are decent ones in Emily.
21° - 25° F
Went out Saturday afternoon with tip ups. Had 7-8 Pike on the ICE but nothing with any size. Many around us were hammering small snake pike on medium sized minnows.
How are the ice conditions out there? I know a couple weekends ago there was a lot of slush. Im hoping to come out with a group for the last weekend of tip up fishing. Also we plan on driving out.
41° - 45° F
Was out from 9am-2pm and caught 9 pike out of 11 flags. They seem to be cruising deeper as of late. All hammer handles lately too.
36° - 40° F
Very slushy and wet! Caught tiny panfish using waxworms.
31° - 35° F
Fished from 10A-3P. Had 3 flags and 3 small pike. I wouldn't reccomend driving out without a ATV or somthing with 4-wheel drive. Bring your shovel!
Are trucks "safe" across the lake yet? Obviously not including by the aerator. Anyone have an updated ice report?
