Thanks mountin lyin. I'll tuck that under my wide brim. Looking more for pannies than sharp toothed Pike. I have three rods all rigged with 4# mono right now. Thinking I really need to pick up a game fish combo just for that. Two presently set up for slip Bobbers and one with double tandem hooks for crappie or gills for straight lining off the bottom or in between. What works better on Elizabeth, big reds or minnows and is there a nearby bait/sports shop?
Print Man Pike can be caught shallow very early just outside Launch by buoy line and just outside the Sand Bar on North end sorting but some decent fish to be had
Thanks. That'll be the north end by the depth I see on the map and with all this heat I'm sure the shallow temps will be empty unless the fish want to be boiled.
Cold water. CARPIO
Carpio. Having a post Covid family reunion at an air b&b August 24-27 on the lake. Bringing my boat and simply wondering about any place to start looking for some pannie action. Not thinking right now about doing a fish fry, more like catch and release. Six grandkids and all out of college, two this Spring Green in London. I know it's that time of year, suspended fish, and asking if you're familiar with the patterns on Elizabeth. Thanks.
Nor pike. I see all of your inquiries about pike. Save time and fish Delevan. CARPIO
I want to fish this lake for a first time for n.pike.Any advise, what part of lake to look for bigger fish and when? Will greatly appreciate it! What is average size of pike in this lake and what chance is to get 32+ inch Northern? Thanks.Good Luck!
56° - 60° F
51° - 55° F
The season has begun. We were out yesterday and fished the north and east side of the lake. Boated 5 bass, and hooked 1 nice northern that said goodbye at the boat. All came in 7 feet or less. Find the weeds and you'll find the fish. No bites in the rocks or gravel. Dropshot with a crawler produced the best results.
Anybody been out? Looking for bass. northern, anything that bites. is the DNR dock in yet?
Anyone been out? Driving out?
