Just a quick little video about an extremely common parasite in Wisconsin lakes called black spot disease. Quite the impressive little life cycle of this animal! A buddy caught this fish in a Florence County lake. Worst I’d ever seen it!
Anyone know of the ice conditions up in Florence? How much ice, and how is the slush on top? When I was up in late December it was pretty bad! Thanks
My father and I have a cabin up there, I have been coming up ever since I was a little kid and we have gotten very good at open water fishing, but can’t seem to get the hang of ice fishing. Anyone know of a guide in the area that can take us out and help us get the hang of it?
Thanks all. Was out Thursday and the ice on the couple lakes we made it to measured 6-8” everywhere, but that was before the warm weather hit.
@mattdougherty231- Did you end up getting out and exploring ice conditions yet? If not I am heading out on Thursday to see what the lakes around me look like and will report my findings. Tight lines.
How's the ice looking in Florence County?
If you get out, let’s me know how you do, heading up to my cabin next weekend
8" on Keyes lake. Havent seen many people out though. Hoping to get out tomorrow.
Any ice updates or fishing updates
Are there any panfish opportunities around this time? I have never fished this early in spring, but am really itching to take the boat out for a few hours. I was thinking twin falls cos I have a house on the water? Is it worth a try?
Ice will be in good shape through the weekend.
