Fished the area within about 150 yards of the access trying for trout. All holes in that area were 6-7 inches of ice measured on my skimmer.

Drilled 25+ holes from 40 feet of water to 12 feet of water.

No trout but one nice bluegill about 8 inches long.  But that was the only bite. May have just been an off day but it was my first time there too.

Hope to return as I'd love to catch a rainbow through the ice!.

Does anyone catch trout in this lake? I see on the DNR website it gets stocked heavily so I am just wondering if they are bitey. Thank you, Tight Lines -- Rippin'

Fished for two hours in the afternoon on Sunday 2/19.  No jigging just tip ups.  Had to be 25 mph winds.  No action.  Been skunked two times on this lake this year...a 3rd time we did hook up with a few northern.  Still trying to figure out the secret on this lake.  Ice was plenty...maybe 14 or so inches.

I agree with the garbage comment.  I fish this lake quite a bit, and last year did some scuba diving here. The amount of trash on the bottom is awful.  I pulled a bunch out last year, and plan on getting a lot more this year.

Was out this past Wednesday (1/17/18) and fished from 1-dark (5:15ish). Marked plenty of fish just didnt seem to want to bite. Caught 2 gills over 9" and 1 that was between 7.5 and 8". The rest were all little (maybe caught 10 little ones) and caught a few 7" bass. Tried waxies, spikes and plastics, nothing seemed to work. Anyone have any idea where to catch panfish of decent size out here?

Hi just sending a message to ask about if there are any dangers or things I should be aware of if i go fish the lake. First time on the lake was just wondering if there is anything like thin ice, springs, or any hazards I should be aware of. Thank You very much.

Went out Sunday 1/7/18 on far South Side of lake.  Fished until around 2:15 pm.

We had 8 tip-ups in and jig on one. 2 flags but no fish.

Maybe 15 others out there as well and most left by around 11:30.

Slow day on ice.  Tried far end of lake...had one flag but must have just swiped at it.  Got skunked but had fun.  Saw some guys jigging on launch side of lake but didn’t seem like they were jumping out of the holes fore them either.

try again tomorrow.
