I have seen people launch straight in an fall off. Enjoy fishing the lake. Sometimes on the path going out from the launch, the bogs will move and be right in the main path. Mosquitos will eat you alive when you pull out. We usually just get the front of the boat hooked up and get out of there and get boat set down the road.

Tried this lake for the first time. Targeting muskies and we had some hot follows but no bites. Did manage one 18" walleye on a shallowraider. This is a nice lake to fish but the launch is pretty dumb - 45 degree angle from the driveway.

1st time out on this lake and it did not disappoint. Boated lots of 2 - 4 lb bass...missed a ton on topwater as well. Fished the slop with frogs and senkos...they couldn't resist them. Definitely coming back for more.

figured i'd try it again since my buddy wanted to go and he said that he had been catching decent size bass so i'll give it a try. i know i was out ice fishing there and said it sucked but you never know untill you fish it in the spring/summer. the bass he said that were "decent" were not even 2lbs really small bass and stunted panfish. not worth it nice looking lake but no real hog. i'm used to fishing lake wausau and when i fish there on the same structure it's 3+ lb fish consistently. waste of time.

Try this one- www.lakenokomiscottage.com. I don't own this or anything, but stayed there this year. The cabin is very nice and the price is only $700 per week for the summer season. It is only 3 years old, so everything is top notch. I know its not on Hancock, but you could easily drive there or learn to fish Nokomis, which is pretty decent too.

Is there any places on Hancock that dont cost 1000 a week. The family really misses going up there but dont want to pay more than my monthy mtg. paymant on a weeks fishing trip. Guess we could camp the island for a day.

Andydome, what resort is for sale and can you give me more info. Is it still open or are they selling off the cabins/cottages? Also, names/numbers. Looking to rent a place for next week and also looking to buy something.

Message me if you prefer.

Thanks
