Started the day north of Chaudoirs dock...caught a fish, this fish had a rod and reel attached to it and it could not have been in the water long...describe it and I will get it back to you
I went out of the dock last weekend and nothing. Threw the kitchen sink at them. motored south to Bayshore and caught 1 amongst the dozen sheephead and dozen whitebass. Im goning try again this weekend, but if it fails, im going head North this time, Maybe Sturgeon Bay.
Fellow Dockers. Any luck for eyes? I’ve been out a few times last two weeks and been slow.
I trolled north of Chaudoirs last night until 9:30pm. Caught 1 23" walleye and lost another. Also a 13" yellow perch and a couple of white perch. I thought it was pretty slow but I rarely know what I am doing! The only other boat fishing around there was the big charter boat out of Wave Pointe but that may be because the launch there is closed for resurfacing until Wednesday morning.
I'm seeing a bunch of boats launching, anyone doing any catching?
I caught 2 about 3 years ago. In my opinion very few SMB near Shoemaker.
Wondering if anybody has ever caught smallies south of Chaudoirs Dock - up and down the shoreline? My grandpa used to have a place near Shoemaker Point - we used to catch a couple here and there (in the late 70's) we often wonder if with the influx of gobi - if they are there too now - thanks.
Trolled a couple hours with nothing to show but 2 hit and runs. Jigged for a couple hours with plenty of goats and cats coming to the boat, one short walleye. A few nice perch to end the day. In all was a fun outing, will just keep trying!
