Trolled a couple hours with nothing to show but 2 hit and runs. Jigged for a couple hours with plenty of goats and cats coming to the boat, one short walleye. A few nice perch to end the day. In all was a fun outing, will just keep trying!

Fished last night from 6pm until midnight.  Only 1 eye to show for the effort. Tried a crawler harness crankbaits mix to start. I have never pulled both at the same time before. Then switched to all harnesses and back to crankbaits.  Caught on a flicker minnow with a 2oz weight 40ft behind the board.  Lost one other at the boat.  Good luck.

Best perch fishing I've seen on the bay since the perch limit per person was 50.  Early 1980's if I remember correctly, nice eating size too.

Having a delayed perch season to let them spawn is paying off IMO.

Went out of the dock again last night, 630pm. Starting trolling right out of the harbor to the north.  Marked more fish in the 15 - 20 FOW than in the 10 - 15 FOW, but couldnt get them to bite.  Trolled the 10-15 FOW range with Flickers ( bouncing off the bottom) and we were able to land several fish. Only came home with 1 - 18" walleye. overall it was a lot slower than last week.  Lots of boats trolling around sugar creek park, but by the time we got there, they all had left.   As a side note, to the idiot on a pontoon boat.  I hope you realize that the bay is huge and there is NO reason to buzz as many boats (trolling boats with outriggers) as u did, including mine.  Next time, go around the fishing boats otherwise my paintball gun will be taken out!!

Hello All, New Guy here, but long time reader.  Went out of the dock on the 15th about 730pm.  Had intention of jigging for walleyes, but no boats to be seen that were stationary. Decided to troll. Had 4 lines out with varing colors of flicker shads. Had 2 size 5 and 2 size 7.  trolled North in about 10-15 FOW right from the landing. marked pockets of fish here and there.  The boats that were out there were trolling way faster than i was.  I was about the 1.5 to 1.8 MPH.  in 2 hours of trolling Landed 14 fish in all. 1 sheephead, 1 rockbass, and 12 eyes.  Kept 5 in all with the biggest being 22 inches, and the others around the 17". Not a bad quick trip out on the water, with the best color of all being a purple backed, white bellied size 7 flicker. Good Luck!
