Got the whole family out around Wilmot a couple weeks ago.  We got rained on for an hour,  took cover under a bridge.  After the rain stopped fishing was phenomenal.  Big smallmouth were super aggressive and tight to the banks.  A few other bonus fish were had as well,  channel cat and walleyes.  Most fish were caught with a 1/2 oz dirty jig with hoochie coochie trailer.  A few caught using a 1/2oz jackhammer with a scented powerworm.

Went out Sunday morning after the rains, later than I wanted to get started, but i got out there.

Water level has dropped over 2 feet.

Silver Lake boat launch suuuuucks to get out of with no help. Hope one day the ramp gets redone. Took me about 20 mins to get out, were normally I'm out in 3-4 mins.

Hit my regular spots for whitebass and nothing!

I got 3 great sized sheepshead on rubber jigs.

Realizing the whites weren't bitting, I changed to target cats, they didn't disappoint . landed 3 on the first spot.

Kept moving to other spots and ran out of hooks due to snags and break-off! But the cats are active.

Went out Sat Morning with my brother. There were 2 other boats out before the rains came. They were out for the cats, we did notice 1 guy get some on cut bait. he had a nice setup for 3 rods on his boat. cool deal.

We worked the slow current near drop offs and ended the morning with 13 White Bass. Lost a total of 6 fish. Is it the cold temps and lack of bright sun keeping them sluggish? Water level has dropped about 4 inches from last week.

rubber jigs 9 fish landed, lost 4

in-line spinners 5 fish landed, lost 2 (1 too small to keep)

more agressive than last week but still no frenzy

looks like another try on Thurs or Friday

Cast netting in wisconsin is illegal i just found this out myself. Look it up on regs. They need to write in where its more noticeable.

Very windy conditions, Cold temps and rain in the forecast for Tuesday night. got in around 5pm

Water levels are very high. I would say there's a no wake order but I'm not 100% sure on it.

Landed 5 Nice white bass and 2.5lb catfish on rubber jigs. lost about the same number of hook ups. Fish were deep at the edge of drop offs.

Nothing on in-line spinners

there was 1 guy with a small casting net working the shoreline by the park. I have no idea if he got anything.

We left just beforethe rains got there (8pm).

Small mouth ,northern ,walleyes, drum ,sheeps, white bass, catfish, carpets, and perch in deep holes. Large mouth not so much they mostly like lakes and river mouths. Night crawler on bottom you will catch everything but mostly sheeps and drum and carp. I use white 8th ounce uv rooster tails for the whities, cut bait for cats and medium minnows for walleye. Perch waxie on 8th ounce red horizontal jig on bottom in deep holes in the current seam. You will catch fish on all of those slip sinker rig is good for cats with stink bait mid summer, cut bait is best right now  good luck.
