Doable, but you have to know where to drop it. Parking Lot is no more.
Hoping to fish Forest Lake for first time in over 20 years. Is the boat landing still under water, or is lake level down enough to launch smaller (16') boats? Thank you!
Nothing wrong with the lake getting a break.
Yes it is a great lake. I thought that in the winter we would be able to get in... NOT the area was not plowed, probably could have parked on that narrow road and used the snowmobile to get in, but decided to go to a different lake... As you know too Michigan does not plow their landings, which poses choices in the winter.
Any way, have fun, stay safe, and healthy... 98.6*
Crypto, Thanks for posting...you sure beat me to it! We stopped out there this morning to check things over for later this week. So sad to see where the parking lot went.
This is one of our favorite lakes, even before we moved up here. This will, unfortunately be our third year not being able to get in this wonderful lake...due to high water levels.
I am looking for any information regarding the bass fishing up on Forest Lake!
I am wondering how the population is, is it pretty good? what is the water clarity? does this lake usually get a lot of weed growth?
There aren't any crappies on Forest.
I normally fish plum but I'd like to try this lake for perch gills and crappies. Heading up Thursday. If anyone has any tips fire away. When the fish turn off on plum I want a decent plan b.
Drove past it yesterday, the lot is plowed, but limited space. Saw evidence of snowmobiles traveling. Not having gone on it, go on with caution. No ice is safe ice.
