Thanks! Going up Tues-Sat. Will report when I get back...
Three Lakes Chain last weekend was 49-52 They are connected
Friend said Eagle River Chain was about the same
Anyone have current water temps?
66° - 70° F
66° - 70° F
Was up on the chain from 9/20-9/29. Fishing was hit and miss. Water temps were still warm and fishing for me didn't seem to follow fall patterns yet. Tried shallow and deep, with better results shallow still as many lakes on the chain still have green weeds. Water temps were still in the upper 60's, but that should change quickly as the warm temps went away. Best fishing for walleye was on Scattering Rice were a nice 22" walleye ate a Rapala crank bait in about 7ft of water. Lost about a 30" musky over on Yellow Birch mid week, fishing really slowed the tail end of last week.
Haven't been out fishing on the chain since Labor Day weekend. Water temps were still in the mid to upper 60's. Bite was slow, crawlers produced about the same as minnows. As the water temps drop, minnow bite should pick up. Those are some great lakes to target, don't miss giving Yellow Birch a try, working the shorelines typically produces perch and walleye this time of year. Walleyes will start to move to the holes once the water temps drop a little further. Will be up working on my cottage this weekend, don't think the boat will make it in. Spending the last week of the month up there. Will try and report back my findings.
Going up Sunday for a week, Staying on Duck/Lynx lake. Can't wait to fish Eagle, Cranberry and Catfish. Any and all tip appreciated.
Anything been happening lately? I'm headed to a friends cabin on cranberry lake this weekend. I'll leave a report when I get back.
