I've been trying to target the carp at the top of the dam with no success. There is huge school of carp at the surface but they don't seem to be interested in corn, bread or night crawlers at the moment.

Been catching a bunch of pike at the top of the dam with crankbaits.

I haven't been able to fish the bottom of the dam because there are usually a bunch of people already there. I've seen them catch walleyes, panfish, pike, carp, and everything else.

I just "discovered" this spot while driving from Evansville to Stoughton while working. Looked pretty fenced off to me. Couldn't stop and check it out though. How close to the dam can you legally get without evoking the foot wet rule? Coincidentally I had asked a guy at work who lives in Stoughton the name of this place and he went on to tell me about that Stebbinsville spot that BBT mentioned earlier. What happened as far as politics and DNR influence to dry up that spot?

Most of the big ones Have already been harvested. Water is super low, just below locks is a calm 3-5" pool. The river is ankle deep at the bridge just below damn. Better water above the dam. Good bassin' if u flip 10" scented worms weedless rigs. Just itty bitty kitties below the powerhouse. Towards Stoughton the bass get better but water is super low there as well.

Is it legal to fish below the dam? Which side is better for musky?

Thanks for the info. And for fishing below the dam its entirely leagle if you keep your feet wet. Or fish from a boat, kayak. A Very small boat.
