Wanted to get this link started up again. Was out today. Trolled from the Stone Quarry north with no luck. Also tried Larson's with no luck. Water was crystal clear and glass calm. Tough conditions.

Another great Bailey's Harbor Brown Trout Derby. Winning fish was a whopping 31.8 pounder caught in Southern Door by Mary Jo Leemans (spelling?). I personally didn't fare well this year. Our group weighed in a 10.85, 10.35 and a 7.9. Lost some nice ones behind the boat. Our best baits were #10 black/silver and gold/silver Husky Jerks & #9 black/white and gold/black floating Raps. Spent day one on the lake side with very little to show for it. Two smaller browns and a laker. The water was unbelievably clear. Day two was spent on the bay side near Sturgeon Bay and the fishing was better with a little better water conditions. Second place was 17.5 which was normal and went down from there. 60th place was right around the 10lb mark. Always a fun tournament, but wish they'd do more around the weigh-ins and Baileys Harbor. They should sell burgers and brats and beer. They have everyone drive up to Bailey's I'm assuming to get business up there, but there's nothing open. Probably 1000 anglers through that area and nothing for them to spend money on. Anyway, browns are biting fairly well, depending on who you talk to. Good Luch All! BUMPER~~~~ Cool
