Rick,
I tried launching on the north end a couple summers ago, as we wanted to fish the north weeds, and didn’t want to travel up there by boat. I had to get the SUV in the water up to the door frame to float the boat off. Would need hip boots to do it this time of year. Stick with the south end, even though it’s tough with the turn-around.

Out shooting videos on sonar targets found earlier. Water temp at 49.9°F. Water clarity out deep improved a lot! Only person on the lake for a while, then another boat came out fishing the south end. Saw one school of Perch on the NE end of the lake, didn't look too bad size wise. Will process videos later this week when time permits. I'd found a boat earlier when the clarity was terrible, could only make out it was definitely an aluminum boat. Today could see the whole boat, including that it was from the parks concession fleet, boat #5. Didn't get into the shallows at all with the camera but they were clear also. Put in at the south landing. They put the pier in a bad place, at least for me, with a full size PU and 17' boat. Little too tight to make the turn to back the trailer into the water, did it putting the boat in, but didn't find the sweet spot when I was leaving so I backed the trailer in from the road. Lake levels down enough that it was a chore getting the boat launched (have to float the boat off the trailer). OK getting it back onto the trailer though. Don't know why they don't dredge the landing out some, would be helpful (as would removing the large rock that I managed to run up against. Don't know if the north launch would be any better or not. On the way back marked a ton of fish off the SW shoreline. Park was pretty deserted, hardly anyone walking along the lake that I noticed. Not sure if I'll hit it again this fall or not. Wanted to dive on some of the targets I'd found but if lake level drops any more and having all the extra weight from the dive gear probably wouldn't be able to get the boat off the trailer. But it was a nice day out there!

Rode motorcycles up the other day. Took the 4 piece rod in my compartments. Little jig box. Fished the south end. Tore the little bass up. Most fish taken on purple plastic worms. Even got a double. Nothing special catch wise. Was a great day. A great ride. Some fishing. Great weather. Cant ask for more. Tight Lines Boyz.
PS
Was only about 85 that day! I fat thumbed the 9.

Fished south shore boat launch in 35fow. Several hungry schools of brown trout limited out within an hour. They bite extremely light and rip your minnow from the hook. Jigging on flouro line worked best. Lost a lot and downgraded to smaller hook for better hookset. They love the chase so slowly reel your minnow away for them to make reaction bite. Slip bobber did nothing but lose my minnow. You have to feel the light bite or you miss the chance. They won't bite twice. After limiting out went to chase 10plus inch gills. Got a handful of gills off redworms jigging. In 25fow or by weed structures. By the rocks got plenty of small gills to keep you entertained while you enjoy the lake.
Planned on shooting videos on a bunch of sonar targets found over the last few years on June 5th. Water temp was 75.1°F and water clarity was terrible. Weather was perfect though, enjoyed the time on the water, especially the peace and quiet! Was able to identify some targets; some logs and brush, possibly an old wood boat in very bad condition, mabe an old steel wheeled wagon and a rod/reel. Shot some video of an old aluminum boat since I was close to it. Marked quite a few smaller schools of fish also. Will try again in another month, other divers have said mid-July the depths usually clear up better. If not will have to wait until late fall after turnover.
