How has fishing been on Olson's marsh off HH and is the ice safe to walk out on?
I forgot a brown swivel chair and a blue tackle box by the curve on County Road HH. This is the curve for the creek entrance to the bog. I forgot it on Saturday December 21. If found please message me. Thanks
County line is closed. Most bogs got pretty strict on trespassing because people ruined it for others by leaving trash all over and not respecting the land. There are a few that have access from the road legally but all fished out. Just like lake tomah people gotta keep everything they catch no matter the size. Even the bogs on McCoy are over fished now due to how easy getting a McCoy pass is.
In the 80s my wife and I walked back into some back water ponds in the warrens area. Don’t remember the road but it was spelled something like “Oatman?”any way we came upon what looked like an old trapper or hunters shack. The pond was only about 20 acres and connected to a creek. The crappie fishing was phenomenal! Up to around 15”. And yes we did keep our limit. This lasted for 3 years.Bass and gills too. We thought this would never end. WRONG! This is an example why we need stricter limits. And also I’m not ashamed of what we kept. This was common practice at this time. You want a great burger? Stop in at the COUNTY LINE tavern if they’re still there. CARPIO
Any bog updates for this ice fishing season?

Got on the water later in the morning...just in time for the wind to pick up. Ended up only boating 3 smaller crappies and one 12" or so largemouth. All fish released. Not sure if it was the wind, the rain last night, or that this lil pond has been fished a bit too hard. 20 years ago was a much different story. Only using an electric motor, glad the battery is newer. Thanks to the guys who offered us a tow, although we made it out ok. Still beats a day at work!!
