Went out Saturday afternoon. One young couple were the only others there, and they were headed south to meet up with friends by Spring Lake Supper Club.
Tough walking with the 8” of snow on top of the ice, as we were the first out since the snowfall.
Fished central of the south lake, closer to the tracks, where I’d had good luck a couple weeks ago.
Marked a lot of fish, but only caught 8 gills and a perch. One keeper gill, but all were tossed back in to grow. The keeper gill had bite marks on it from probably a Northern, so apparently it was was part cat and used another life. :-)
Ice was solid, best I’ve seen in there all year. Bite was very light and had I not had electronics I wouldn’t have know the fish were even there.
