Thanks for the report chippman, i dont see too many river reports from the EC/Chipp area. With regular water levels how easy is it to navigate up to the dam?

Fished after the Packer game up by the Dam went through a scoop of minnows caught 11 channel cats and about a dozen walleyes . cats all 2 to 3 pounds and eyes 10 or 111 inches long. Non stop action until dark then it slowed most on the rod with 4lb test and small plain jig a few on lindy rig with fluorocarbon. Chippman

made it out for a few hours last night found a lot of water coming down gate were tripped with water coming down the overflow channel. Also allot of water coming from the dam also being alone was a little to squirrelly to go up by dam. found a slack water area where the two currents meet had non stop action until well past sunset lost count at 20 eyes all under 12 inches lost a few bigger ones at the boat. Ran out of minnows in an hour but they hit twisters and gulp also.  With the high flow even the 1775 Lund was getting pushed around and squirming but nice night to be out.

Put my 16' Northwoods in at the pumphouse landing without to much trouble. Can get pretty close to wissota dam if you are careful and stay left. were out this weekend, lots of small walleye and some really nice cats. Crawlers out fished minnows. Seen some big sturgeon jumping but have never caught one on that stretch.

Dumped my 16' deep v in there all the time. The chanel runs right by the landing you will have no problems though near shore can be a bit problematic because there is no dock. Shorts and water shoes will work. What an awesome spot for fishing but only if you like cats, smallys, walleye and musky

You can go up to the dam.  Just stay to the left going upstream.  There's a very accurate map at gofreeshop.com that is helpful to browse.  You can register a free login there and click on Social Map on the right side of the Dashboard page.  Those maps are a free download for newer Lowrance units, but anyone can browse and zoom to look at it online.

I'm curious if a guy could fish a deep v 16 ft boat in Chippewa falls flowage (area between wissota Dam and next Dam downstream. I know I can't go up to dam toward wissota but maybe middle of flowage downstream

I know you can access the south side down by the bend by parking at the pumphouse. As for closer to the dam, I'm always in a boat but I see people walk in by the seymour bridge fishing underneath it and up by the spillway there is a spot there where people fish from shore.
