Fished this afternoon for a few hours only managed 2 small bluegills 15 to 17 feet of water to the north of the boat launch.
Stopped out Christmas Eve while I was back in town. Mid day bite was slow, couple of gills and a crappie. Ice was hanging in there at 5".
31° - 35° F
Early ice, 4" to 6" deep. Some success on crappie and bluegills.
Eight other anglers on ice. Limited success.
Hey Shawn 289
Fished this lake for the first time this year been out there 3 or 4 times I have always fished the far North end of the lake water depths between 10' to 15' using a single red spike on smallest tear drop I had. Have tried plastics and waxies pretty much turned up there nose at them. Also jig aggressively until they show up on your electronics once they get there slow way down on your presentation to almost dead sticking if you jig to hard they spook easy and they are gone. Also drill a bunch of holes and be ready to hole hop catch a few in one hole they go away then move to another hole. Have Fun
Just curious if anyone’s been out lately and if they can give some pointers. We’ve never fished carstens before
I’ve been out a few times. Recently about 8” of ice and the aerators are not out so your good to go
I just heard today from a friend that his kid has been fishing and he said there is 8 inches on the lake. Not sure about staying away from any areas though.
Just curious if anybody has been out? If so is there any areas to stay away from. Not very familiar with this lake. Thanks. Pm me if you prefer it that way.
