Planning on heading out tomorrow 8/15 to try and get my young ones out. Any decent spots to try for pan fish from the boat?

How has the fishing been on Butte des Morts? Thinking of trying tomorrow morning and maybe pitching the cane beds or trying by the bridge. I'm guessing with the current the algae isn't (as much) an issue like 'bago. Any word on how it is for perch in the summer? Or is Winnebago the better bet for them?
He is lucky he should be able to pull it out from the backside with a little help and not have to pay big bucks. That crack is always there, and always takes a while to firm up and gets bad fast.
This year is completely different. You can see there is virtually no walleye bite on the entire system this winter, tons of tiny bait fish (perch, whitebass and trout perch) all over.
Hopefully the perch fishing picks up in March sometime.
But the ice is good now so feel free to give it a shot. No aerator off Sand Pit this year, so good access.
Thump55, we usually did good there mid Feb. till the end of the month they usually staged up out in front of the white house with the big pillars.
Plenty of ice...just no fish.
If you want the kids to have any action, go to Poygan or Bago. I live close to BDM, but will be fishing Poygan on Saturday. Just nothing going on out on BDM. Lots of tiny perch and whitebass early ice, but even those are mostly gone now.
Wondering if you can drive off of Sand Pit rd, thinking of taking the kids out tomorrow and don't want to run into issues. Anyone know how much ice is out there? Thanks in advance for any feed back.
Anybody driving across the river to get to Scott's bay? Or have an ice depth for our there
anyone catching anything out here?p.m. me if youd prefer.been wanting to try out here but havent yet.thank you.
