I got into a Smallie about 20” on 8/4 about 8:00am. I got excited and tried to flip him in the boat. He got off hit my tackle box and flipped right back into the water. All I could do is laugh. Northwest side by the big hole. Near the docks on a craw.

Could be same fish. Caught it along West shore, in front of Condos.
Been fishing Browns for 20+ years, I have never caught a Smallie - very nice!
Caught a 21 inch Smallmouth on Brown's Last week. 1st Smallie in 19 years of fishing that lake. Anyone else ever catch one?

These are the days that make you keep coming back. Had to take the boat out of the water and on the way to the launch hooked up 3 LM in 10 minutes (landed 2) while drifting across the lake. Been fishing this lake for years and never experienced anything like this. As luck would have it I happened to have video as my son couldn't join me and he loves fishing. The magical BL purple worm strikes again. Enjoy!

Fished from 7am-1pm. Found gills around 15ft in hole off launch. Big stuff in there feeding too. Had one bite off. Found small pike and bass along weeds from sandbar to apartments.
Couldn't agree more - been off to a very tough start on Browns. My common bass spots are dry - likely weather related. No bass in the channels over the last weekend, but plenty during the week leading up to. Still great to get out though.
