There will be a carp shoot (bowfishing event) on Lake Redstone in LaValle, WI on June 20th from 6pm-1am, coordinated by Redstone North End Tavern.
Please see the Lake Redstone Fishing Club's facebook page for more details.
Looking to hopefully get out a time or two more yet before calling it a season. Typically shoot the lakes in Dane and Rock county. Anyone seeing much for numbers of fish up shallow? Our usual spots have dried up due to some lake associations netting carp out of our honey holes in the winter (bittersweet). Feel free to PM! Definitely open to swapping knowledge and spots for bow fishing and conventional!
Thanks in advance and goodluck!
There was an absolute ton of carp in the shallows on Okauchee lake when I went out Friday morning. There is plenty of room on that lake for carp boats at night and a free launch. Thank you guys for what you are doing to help keep our fisheries great. Get 'em!
Washburn county Big Stone lake/ Avery bridge /Little Stone. carp are in thick So if you are in the area come and get em
Shot the mouth of the Yahara River coming into Mendota last Friday (5/29). The carp were definitely around, unfortunately the rain last week stained the water and visibility was only a few inches, limiting shots to carp rolling along the reeds and eating off the surface. Ended up with about a half dozen. Would have had no problem filling the barrel if water clarity was better.
