Thanks for the feed back about the channel!  I think I will borrow a buddies kayak if I ever want to explore it before taking the boat.  Has anyone ever fished the Spring Lake right next to Big Twin?  I posted twice in that lake thread but I don't think anyone really looks at it.  Just curious if there's decent panfish in there or if it would be a waste of time going there.  I appreciate any info, thanks guys!

The grandson and I tried last fall....found a confusing labyrinth of blocked channels and dead ends so shallow we could have walked it...left for fear of getting lost...might be a good spot for a duck blind, not so much for fishing

Flasch, the last time I tried in my little 12 foot boat, I found the channel blocked off.  If Mother Nature ever opens that channel, it's really shallow.  But it's still a nice little lake with out the pleasure boat traffic of the bigger lakes.

I fish here quite a bit because it's nice getting away from the high traffic lakes and pleasure boaters, everytime I am out, I go back in forth in my head about trying to get back to little twin but have not attempted it yet.  I have seen several boats go through the channel but the majority come back in 15 minutes or so.  Are people getting stuck and turning around?  I really want to try in my bass tracker pro team 175 but I always get to nervous.  Does anyone know what the actual depth of that little channel is?

Anyone have any luck with bass or panfish in the last two weeks or so?

Worked the weed line for bass with some success. Two legal sized bass along with a few smaller ones for the short day(Noon to 4) due to storms. Poppers and frogs seemed to work well.

I was there Wednesday. Pretty slow. No pike, gills headed deeper. The bad run-off from last year seems to be still affecting this lake. Lots of algae along the shore.

I was out on opening weekend and caught one bass and one pike, nothing of great size.  Was super windy which made it difficult.  Just wondering if anyone is having a little better luck now with bass or pike out there?

Has anyone fished Twin this year? Wondering if its decent jigging? Have had nice days in summer with gills but never tried on ice.

Anyone ice fish this lake recently?  I've fished it during summer several times but never during winter.  Just looking for info on if this lake freezes over well?  Weak spots?  Just looking to branch out where I ice fish.  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance!
