4seasons:

I would recommend St. Germain Resort (715.542.3433) as the owner is one of the stars fishing in the deal.  If that doesn't suit your fancy price-wise, then I would contact the St. Germain Chamber  as they are hosting the event as well...

Howdy guys and gals!

I’ve been to St Germain but 1 time and am looking to book a cabin up there for the “fishing with the stars” tournament (God help me) can anyone recommend a reasonable place to stay that’s on a lake that has good fishing for all species? Thank you so much  Tight lines ??

Was on a lake the same size last night and would say that Big St. would be similar at 45*...

Thanks tor the info last week.  Does anyone have an up to date on the lake?  I’m assuming all the ice is off at this point?  Any ideas on water temps?  Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks

Still ice on the south side of the lake with the big N/NW winds today...  Talked to Rob while we were checking out open lakes, he in Vilas, me on the way back up from down south turkey hunting.

I traveled the 8 corridor on up, the last stop for him was the landing at Big St. before work.  He figured he could take the boat for a shakedown cruise, but he also figured AT LEAST 1/2 the lake was still ice covered...  Stop in Fibber's for the ice report that he has...  I sure with a meal of perch, he'll share some info...

Davey11,

Faths Big Woods Resort posted photos on their facebook page today. Shore was open about 20-30 yards out, otherwise was iced over. They are on the west side of the lake.
