Coming up to fish Bear for walleyes. Any info on this lake would be great. Would like to keep kids interested. Thanks
How much ice are we still seeing out there? Hoping we can get out there in the next few weekends.
Do they still get Whitefish out of this lake?
I checked it last Saturday. Surprisingly you could not get on the north landing in the shallow bay. The first 30 yards froze last for some reason. I’m sure you could get out now and find plenty of ice past that. The south bay landing was froze with about 4” of ice. Guys had been fishing but only out in 5-6’. Main lake was froze in some places and open in others.
Im sure there’s places you can fish. Now but maybe not where you’d like
Not a report but inquiry. How much ice on Da Bear?
Still full of them on the west end anyways. They need some thinning out. So many little ones. Never done well on panfish in the winter so can't say on that one.
hey folks, i was curious if bear is still filthy with hammer handles? When i was a young fella my dad and i fished this lake A LOT and we did very well on the north shore for crappie and gills. My duty was running tip ups on the southern shore/bays. i remember we got so many of those little turds you could watch down the hole and see the northerns smashing the shiners. Are the crappie and gills populations still good sized? might have to stop by bear on the way to my folks place some time.
Stay safe and good fishin!!
