Has anyone been having any luck here? Was hoping to get out tomorrow but still trying to pin down a spot to launch. I’ve ice fished dead horse before with no luck. Was hoping the open water bite was better. Tia and tight lines.

That is my background, major, and what I do for a living
Maybe that's my calling...writing articles/stories about jacked up experiences I've encountered from a humorous perspective. I am my father's son, so there is no shortage of material lol.
Im not laughing at you but with you. Sorry for your problems but a funny story.

Tried off Lineville Road on Friday. I was the only person there. Walked about halfway across and it sucked. SUPER windy. Didn't have issues putting hub up, and was actually surprised I was able to get it to line up with the square I'd shoveled out. Had it anchored down and the wall taking the brunt of the wind tied off. No fish on two tip ups and a jig rod.
Called my parents and had just hung up with them when the wind shifted and blew my front wall in, which as anyone who's had that happen knows, it's a startling experience. Well, that happened and the instinctual reaction was to reach out to brace it, and as I leaned forward my phone slid off my lap and RIGHT into the hole. Didn't even bounce on the ice (Judges gave it 9.0s, except for Germany which gave it 8.5). So, with no fish and no phone, figured it was time to pack it up.
Remember when I said I didn't have any issues setting it up? Well, things didn't got nearly as well taking it down as that was a 5 minute wrestling match while holding on for dear life with one hand so it didn't wind up in Escanaba and trying to get it to fold up properly with the other. Finally got it and began the walk back in which was even worse now because I was heading into the wind.
Stopped at Cellcom on the way home and got a new phone. Good thing we have insurance, although I hadn't really planned on spending my bonus on the deductible. And the kicker? On the way home saw a bunch of people at Duck Creek within 50 yards of the boat landing. The thought that all the crap that happened could have been avoided was definitely not lost on me lol.
We went out of Hook Road for 4 hours today . A bunch of tip ups and ZERO. Not one flag . Quite a few people out and they didn’t have a flag either. Lots of trucks driving out .Fished in 9 FOW . The landing was getting soft when we came back .
Anyone want to meet up to fish Saturday 2/22? Never been up there before want to go after some perch. Have a 4 wheeler. DM me if anyone is interested.
