Well got2catch1 unfortunately I don't think you are to far off we you say being fished out ,was out there yesterday with my son and a few of his buddies and we caught fish but not a hole lot of quality to them. A few years back was a nice lake to hit from time to time a long walk which I thought would keep people away but 3 yrs ago seemed like more and more people made the walk I'm sure it was weekend after weekend I don't think a lake that size would be able to support those kinds of crowds. I will not be back for a couple years in hopes the lake make so kind of recovery.

Fished yesterday with my son most of the day. Went 4 for 7 on tipups. Mostly snake northerns. Did ok on panfish, but I am starting to think this lake can and is being fished out. I hope I'm wrong.

On a side note, does anyone actually know every species of fish in this lake? I have caught perch, bluegill, sunfish, crappie, golden shiner, pike, and bass. We had a fish swim up the hole in 20', take a big gulp of air, and swam back down. Quite startling, as I have had a few muskrats actually come out of the hole while in a shack. First thought, bowfin (aka dogfish). It looked more like a burbot to me. Possibly a bullhead but the size leads me to think otherwise. It was pushing 2' long. Any thoughts?

Slow day, 3 northerns in the 20 inch range. No gills to be found. Very cold and windy ice was cracking all day.

Appreciate the replies. Thanks. I kind of figured it would not be accessible but not certain. I think I'll try somewhere up north. Or, maybe I'll put the boat in by DePere or the Wolf and just accept that my ice fishing season has come to an end.

I am going to agree with Deerlake. Lots of wind and sun the past two days. If there is ice, it will not be safe for travel.

Ice fishing in Waushara County is over till December.

Not sure on Bass Lake but Irogami is wide open and Big Silver is black ice except for Foxtail Bay where you have to cross open water to get on ice. Bass lake has inlet and outlets so I would think it's probably partially open.

Anyone have a recent ice report for this lake? About a two hour drive for me and a bit of a hike to find out it's not accessible. Catch and release for me. PM me please.

It will definitely be a tough pull with the snow storm we just got, DNR likes to drive down the path and put ruts in it. It makes the drag extremely unpleasant.
