Tahoe-Ready eCamper: Pop-Top Honda Element, Sleep Where You Park
Camper van
Alpine Meadows, CA
Sleeps 2
$181/night
Ursa Minor Vehicles is retiring the Honda Element eCamper conversion after nearly two decades — and this is one of them. If you've been curious about the cult-favorite pop-top Element eCamper, this is your chance to experience it firsthand.
The Rig
This is a 2011 Honda Element EX — the final model year Honda ever made — paired with a professional Ursa Minor eCamper conversion installed. The conversion includes a color-matched pop-top cap, Thule roof rack system, rear 12V outlet (wired for a fridge), and dual USB outlets. It sleeps two comfortably on a 7x4 foot mattress in the elevated loft, accessed through the roof.
Home Base: Alpine Meadows, CA
Pick it up and you're minutes from Tahoe, the Sierras, and some of the best camping in California. Drive to a trailhead, pop the top, and wake up wherever you parked. We're happy to make recommendations on places to go, whether you're looking for dog-friendly hiking, top mountain biking zones, or even a list of wild, undeveloped hotsprings that you can drive to and camp at.
Why the eCamper?
No setup. No tent. No separate trailer. Just release the latches, pop the roof, and climb up. It's stealthy on the road and a genuine sleeper (literally) at camp. The Element's all-wheel drive means you can get to the good spots (clearance is moderate - no rock crawling or serious off-roading please!).
