Hi, we are the founders of The J.O.N.Y. Project. Amanda lost her oldest child, her son Jonathan “Jony” Hunter, in May 2025, just 10 days before his 17th birthday. The depth of that loss led us to search for a way for our family to turn our pain into purpose and to begin journey to find our path to healing. Since then, we have made it our mission to help others connect, heal, make memories, and experience the joy of the outdoors and the natural beauty that meant so much to Jony. Right now, this is a single RV rental, but it is built with a much bigger purpose in mind. The J.O.N.Y. Project began as a way to honor our son, Jony, who had a deep love for the ocean, camping, and exploring the outdoors. His spirit is what inspired the name “Journey On, Never Yield.” This camper is the first step in something we hope to grow over time—creating meaningful travel experiences for families, couples, and adventurers who want to explore and make memories outdoors, while also using portions of proceeds from rentals to help fund The J.O.N.Y. Project, a  foundation which will primarily focus on mental health awareness and suicide prevention in young people, as well as providing scholarships for youth sports and helping to supply uniforms and equipment for under-resourced teams. Our focus today is simple: provide a clean, reliable, and well-maintained camper, clear communication, an stress-free rental, and a meaningful experience for every guest. Our vision for tomorrow is concrete: the heart of this project will always remain the same—honoring Jony’s love of nature and the outdoors by helping others experience their own time in nature. When you allow us the privilege of being your host, you are not just “taking a camper”, our goal is to give you a whole experience contributing to your experience.
