Explore the Upper Peninsula with our custom-painted Winnebago Rialta. If you are planning a mountain bike trip or a scenic tour around Marquette, Houghton, or Copper Harbor, this setup works great for couples. Unlike larger motorhomes, this compact 22-foot van is easy to drive and fits into standard paved trailhead parking slots and campground spaces.
The exterior features a custom retro multi-stripe paint job, while the interior is clean and updated with practical conveniences for active outdoor trips.
Driving & Cockpit Upgrades: The van is built on a Volkswagen EuroVan chassis and drives much like a standard passenger van. It is narrow and easy to park at trailheads or grocery stores. For navigation, we have upgraded the dashboard with a sound system and a screen that features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This makes it easy to keep your trail maps and music active in remote areas.
Bike Rack & Lock System: We have equipped the rear hitch with a sturdy, platform-style bike rack that holds up to two bikes. It secures bikes by the wheels to protect frames, and the trays fit different tire widths. To keep your gear safe, we provide a vinyl-coated combination cable lock that secures your bikes directly to the rack, avoiding loose padlocks that rattle while you drive.
Cabin Layout & Bedding: Inside, both front seats swivel 180 degrees to face the cabin, creating a comfortable living space when parked. The rear dinette serves as a dining table with a large rear window for views of the woods or lake. At night, the dinette easily converts into a double bed (approximately 50 inches by 74 inches).
Kitchen Amenities: The kitchen area includes a two-burner propane stove, a sink with an electric water pump, and storage cabinets. There is also a built-in refrigerator and freezer that runs automatically on multiple power sources to keep your food fresh.
Onboard Utilities & Power: The van is fully self-contained for both off-grid camping and campground hookups:
Off-Grid (Dry Camping): The lights, water pump, furnace, water heater, and refrigerator run on propane and the auxiliary house battery. Potable water is supplied by the freshwater tank.
Campground Hookups: Plugging into a standard 30-amp campground outlet lets you use the microwave and the overhead air conditioning unit.
Private Bathroom: The cabin features a private bathroom with a flush toilet, a fold-down sink, and an indoor shower. To save space when not in use, the bathroom walls slide inward to stay flush with the hallway. Note that the shower is pretty tight and sometimes has low pressure, so many guests prefer to use campground showers or simply jump in a nearby body of water.
