GOOD. Water Stained; 80 degrees; 0.79 feet below pool. Bass are slow on frogs and topwaters early around points with flooded vegetation. Carolina rigs or flukes will land a few bites on points and humps in 7-12 feet of water, or deep crankbaits fished in 15-18 feet of water around timber and drop offs near points. The bite should improve on windy days, but lately there has been very little wind Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Pro. Black bass are good on topwater frogs and bait fish pattern lures on flooded timber and grass. Bream are excellent on beds. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. The crappie fishing on Lake Fork keeps getting hotter and hotter along with the Texas heat. Fish are loading up on trees, brush and lay downs in 18-28 feet. Bridges are also a good place to look for a mess of crappie on sunny days. You may have to search around to find the columns that are holding good fish. A lot of fast limits this past week on small hand tied jigs on my boat and minnows have also been producing strong for some guides and anglers. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service.

GOOD. Water Stained; 79 degrees; 0.73 feet below pool. Bass are good in 2-4 feet of water with topwaters, chatterbaits, and spinnerbaits. Caffeine Shad and bull worms rigged weedless in the weeds or grass is also good. Offshore fish are starting to show up more on their summer hang outs and points and humps and creek channel bends in 12-15 feet on most days but a few deeper. Carolina rigs and Texas rigs or Designated Hitters are good choices. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Pro. Black bass are good on topwater frog patterns and poppers around grass lines. Bream are starting to build beds, use small beaded woolies are a good bet. Carp are finishing their spawn and should be ready for small flies. Crappie are scattered in 4-20 feet with beaded woolies. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Lake Fork crappie fishing is heating up even more than the weather this week. White crappie are finally finishing up their spawn and moving onto trees and brush in 13-25 feet. Black crappie continue to load up on lay downs and certain summer time trees they like to frequent. Both species are holding on bridges as well and each day seems to be a little different on those. Bridges are always worth checking out on hot sunny days. With water levels getting back to normal they seem to be as happy and hungry as ever. Small hand tied jigs are still dominating on my boat and especially when you swim that jig over the top instead of just sitting over them. Green, orange and chartreuse have been the best colors this week. Minnows are working excellent. If you love a little more of a challenge soft plastics will also put some nice crappie in the boat. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service. Anticipate heavy traffic on the lake this weekend with the Memorial Day holiday. This week is National Safe Boating Week, for more information check out Texas Parks and Wildlife online and search for “Boating Safety Tips.” Happy Memorial Day!

GOOD. Water Stained; 70-77 degrees; 0.71 feet below pool. Bass bite has improved on the backside of the full moon. Bass have been feeding on crawfish in the shallows during this phase, so crawfish colored chatterbaits or chartreuse/white colors are good out to three feet on windy banks with grass. Topwaters, like whopper floppers and yellow magics, are good along the grass lines. Colors have not mattered with these baits. Carolina rigs are still working in 5-8 feet of water on points with flukes in watermelon red and watermelon candy. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Pro. Black bass topwater bite continues to improve as the water level rises. Frog patterns are working well in flooded grass and timber. Bream are on beds biting small beaded woolies. Carp are finishing their spawn and should be ready for small flies. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Lake Fork crappie fishing is really heating up this week. Post spawn crappie are starting to concentrate on trees in 13-32 feet. Bridges remain good spots to find post spawn crappie also. Good numbers of fish on laydowns in 14-24 feet and on brush piles. This is the time of year to catch quick limits of crappie on minnows and small hand tied jigs. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service.

GOOD. Water Stained; 70-77 degrees; 0.97 feet below pool. Lake Fork is still slower than normal for this time of year. Some fish are still spawning while others are starting to move offshore . Shad spawn is still happening in some areas but not many fish around them. Squarebill crankbaits and spinnerbaits in shad spawn area and some points 2-4 feet. Carolina rigs best on offshore structure and points with flukes in watermelon red and watermelon candy in 4-10 feet. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Pro. Black bass are excellent on topwater using frog patterns on grassy patches. Small shad and bream patterns in two feet of water. Bream are beginning to create bedding areas. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Lake Fork crappie fishing is moving more and more into our post spawn and summer patterns. The black crappie have finished spawning and moved back out to the trees, brush, bridges and laydowns they will be on for the next few months. White crappie are still scattered with a few left spawning, some moving and some just getting to the trees or brush they want to hang out on or around after the spawn. Look for brush and laydowns in 12-25 feet of water, brushes in 14-28 feet and trees in 18-32 feet of water to find the best concentrations of fish. Small hand tied jigs are still dominating on my boat daily but minnows are producing well for many boats. Soft plastics will still fool some fish into biting. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service.

GOOD. Water Stained; 64-74 degrees; 0.99 feet below pool. Bass are slow and the pattern is inconsistent so be ready with several approaches. A few catches on white spinnerbaits around the shad spawn areas in 1-3 feet of water. Carolina rigs can land a few catches on points and pond dams in 4-7 feet. Best bite has been on a fluke in watermelon candy. Some top water action on yellow magics and whooper floppers around flooded grass early and late in the day. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Pro. Black bass topwater bite is picking up using frog patterns on grassy patches. Small shad and bream patterns in 2 feet are working well. Crappie are shallow, try small bead heads fished slowly 3-4 feet of water. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Lake Fork crappie fishing continues to get better and better as the fish end their spawn and head out to load up on post spawn trees, brush, laydowns and bridges. Look for fish in 12-24 feet on the laydowns and brush piles and 18-28 feet on trees and bridges. Small hand tied jigs still have been dominating on my boat but minnows will always help load the boat. Soft plastics are still producing as well and should until we hit the dog days of summer. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service.

GOOD. Water Stained; 64-74 degrees; 1.26 feet below pool. Bass fishing is tough unless you can catch the spawners on beds. Some post spawn fish are moving out on main lake points, secondary points, and high spots near spawning areas biting Carolina rigs. For bass in 3-7 feet of water the best baits are green pumpkin magic and watermelon candy flukest, and in 2-5 feet of water with spinnerbaits. The early morning bite is best on points with the shad spawn using a 2.5 square bill crankbait in shad patterns. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Pro. Black bass top water bite is picking up with frog patterns on shallow banks and brush. Small shad patterns 3-5 feet are working well. Crappie are moving towards the bank biting small bead heads fished slowly 3-4 feet. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Lake Fork crappie are moving into the post spawn or summer pattern in a lot of areas of the lake. This is one of the best and most fun patterns to fish. Fish begin to load up on the trees that offer great shade on the sunny days in 18-32 feet of water. Fish are also moving into the brush piles, docks with 9-10 feet or more water under them and laydowns they frequent each summer. The jig bite is still very strong on small hand tied jigs in many different colors. Having great success with anything with pink, blue, purple, green, gold, white or chartreuse in it. I'm sure as good as the bite has been lately soft plastics will work as well. Minnows are always a good bait on Lake Fork and will help you load the boat with some great slabs. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service.

GOOD. Water Stained; 55-62 degrees; 1.21 feet below pool. The bite at Lake Fork is still slow due to fish spawning. Sight fishing is producing some catches. Best bite if not sight fishing is points and secondary points with Carolina rigs with caffeine Shad from Strike King in 2-6 feet. Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are picking up a few on windy banks and points, but it is a grind. Flukes and frogs in the grass will produce a few bites. Report by Marc Mitchell, Lake Fork Pro. Blass bass are good working small fish patterns around green grass. Crawfish patterns are working in flooded grass and brush. Crappie are moving towards the banks, try small bead heads fished slowly 3-4 feet of water. Report by Guide Alex Guthrie, Fly Fish Fork Guide Service. Lake Fork crappie fishing is finally starting to make the transition into some post spawn patterns this week. Most black crappie are done spawning and headed back to deeper water. We finally saw big groups of black crappie stacking up together on trees for the first time today. We are also seeing white crappie that have already spawned and are moving towards their summer areas. We should see way more fish begin to load up on brush, laydowns and summer trees over the next few weeks. Small hand tied jigs are producing very well on my boat each day but minnows are working great right now and soft plastics will work also. Best depths this week have been 18-28 feet of water, but some fish can still be caught in less than 18 feet but just not in the numbers. Report by Jacky Wiggins, Jacky Wiggins Guide Service.
