Watching a MidWest Outdoors show Ted Takasaki was fishing off some bridge over a small lake  which he said was in Brookings......looking at my Gazeteer I don’t see anything like that on the map. Anyone know where he might have been.

Tried fishing Poinsett for the first time last Sunday.  Didn't take long to find the walleyes, or people to find us catching walleyes.  Nothing gigantic, but a lot of fun regardless.  Jigs with leeches and minnows off of weeded shorelines, 8-11' of water.

I was hoping to get in to some perch and crappies but that didn't happen.

Perhaps this weekend!

Coming back to SoDak over Xmas. What does the ice look like?

Fished quite a bit over the weekend - what a waste of time, not even a nibble! There's plenty of ice but the only landing where you can get on with a truck is Prestrude's on the east side of the lake - a large ice heave goes all the way around the opposite shoreline.
