Can anyone recommend a good resort on Lake Oahe? How would the walleye bite be in July? Thanks

I would assume folks are ice fishing yet there is not a single post for this season yet. Can someone give up some information on ice and fish reports?

First trip to the Lake. Beautiful country and a good looking lake. We tried a few techniques and stayed with the minnows and flash-a-boo jigs. We only kept a few pike for a batch of pickles.

Looking forward to another trip back to the lake in June or July.

I cant believe there is not a thread about this incredible fishery! I fished the FLW Tour this past weekend as a co-angler. I drew Eric Olson from Redwing, MN and Kevin McQuoid from Isle,MN. Finished in a tie for 12th , cashed a check. and am now signed up for the South Dakota Governors Cup. I have caught fish over 118 ft of water trolling Northland spinners suspended in the water column, spinnerbaits in the trees is work but productive, and this place is a crankbait fishermans dream. Absolutely no need for live bait, Berkley Gulp on Slow death works better and more efficient!
