Chauncey's Great Outdoors Outdoor enthusiast Chauncey Niziol started his outdoor media career in 1989 by creating an outdoor information service dedicated to bringing the outdoor enthusiast the most current recreation information within the radio, television, telecommunications, internet and print media. This service evolved into the creation of a top rated local TV outdoor show in Chicago on CLTV. As part of the nightly sports program, "Sports Page," Chauncey hosted over 350 programs. The program was a LIVE call in show from the audience to assist them with their outdoor recreation needs.

Chauncey has also hosted and covered many outdoor events for ESPN ranging from the Bassmaster Classics to The Great Outdoor Games to regular contributions at

Chauncey Niziol can be heard hosting Chauncey's Great Outdoors from 6:00 - 7:00 AM on Saturday mornings on ESPN Radio 1000. His live call-in show features interviews with outdoor experts and offers information on fishing, camping, hunting, cooking, boating, hiking and napping in a hammock.

On this week’s show we will hear from Capt. Tony will talk about how this is the time to get out for big fish on Lake Michigan with a Mid week early am charter or a late afternoon into evening. Then Fallon Clepper, the first female high school angler to win the MLF High School National Championship. Also Bill Lenard, who I met at the ICast show who created a product called Rinse Off that is a portable water container that has a pressurized lawn sprayer that can be used to clean a thousand and one things outdoors including your kids and dog before they get in the car. Then, in the last segment well hear the Aiden Fishing Report from west Michigan and more.

On this week’s show we will hear from Capt. Tony sitting on the dock by his boat on Lake Michigan. Then, Tim Mondl, from the Cook County Forest Preserve, will tell us about some of the coolest programs at the Nature Centers in the Forest Preserves for August. Then, Capt. Ted Penrod, from Penrod and Reel Guide Service from Michigan City and southwest Michigan, will tell us about the trips he does for groups and specials for family trips. Then, in the last segment, well hear the Aiden Fishing Report from west Michigan and more.

On this week’s show we will hear from Capt. Tony on the dock, by his boat on Lake Michigan. Then Stan Tekiela from, our resident expert on all things in nature, is going to talk about the Monarch Butterfly and since it is now on the endangered species list, this will be a good conversation. Then Tammy Miller from the Illinois DNR and the IRAP program that has thousands of acres of private land that we could get access to through her program to go hunting , fishing, and more. Then in the last segment, we’ll hear the Aiden Fishing Report and more.

This week’s show we will hear from Capt. Tony on the dock by his boat on Lake Michigan. Then, Officer Marty Stone, Wisconsin Game Warden for Recreational Vehicles, will come on and talk to us about safety on those recreational vehicles and a few laws you need to know about. Then, our good friend and pro staffer for Chauncey’s Great Outdoors has been fishing in a number of places in the Midwest and will give us some tips on how to catch the fish in those areas. Then in the last segment, we'll hear the Aiden Fishing Report from West Michigan and more.
