Otsego Lake is located in Otsego County, New York. This lake is 4,046 acres in size. It is approximately 167 feet deep at its deepest point. When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Brown Trout, Lake Trout, Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Rock Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Yellow Bullhead, Yellow Perch, Pumpkinseed,.
Limited rooted aquatic vegetation along shoreline and bays.
State Boat Launch with ramp in Village of Cooperstown off Lake Steet on south end of lake. Glimmerglass State Park car top launch on north east side of lake.

Lake trout are the main sought after species. Walleye and perch are also popular. The lake supports an underfished exceptional smallmouth bass fishery. The lake is stocked annually with approximately 5,000 brown trout 8-10" in length. Approximately 5,000 lake trout 8-9" in length and 5,000 landlocked atlantic salmon 5-6" in length are stocked biennially. Since 1998 the lake has been receiving annually approximately 40,000-80,000 walleye 2-3" in length.
