Lake of the Woods is located in Jefferson County, New York. This lake is 172 acres in size. It is approximately 80 feet deep at its deepest point. When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including Bluegill, Brown Bullhead, Lake Trout, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch,.
DEC beach launch site off Burns Road, approximately 3 miles east of the Village of Redwood, off Cottage Hill Road. 10 hp limit.

Lake of the Woods provides fishing for both warm/coolwater and coldwater species. Northern pike over 24 inches have been taken. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are also available. Catches of lake trout up to 28 inches and salmon up to 22 inches have been reported. As of 2012 Lake of the Woods was annually stocked with at least 400 lake trout and 500 Atlantic (landlocked) salmon.
