HISTORY AND STATUS OF FISHERY
Lake trout were abundant in Jap lake in 2004, but most were small. The largest fish taken was 17.7 inches long, and most were smaller than 16 inches. All the lake trout taken in 2004 had been produced naturally, and growth rates, at least for younger fish, had been fairly fast. No other fish species were taken. Minnows are the only other fish reported to be present in this lake.
