HISTORY AND STATUS OF FISHERY
Lake trout abundance appeared to have been about average for lakes of this class, but the 1998 catch was low compared to past assessments in this lake. No aging results were available, but from the length frequency distribution it appeared that several naturally produced year classes were present in 1998. Lake trout growth in this lake has been described as slower than average (1992 assessment). The 1998 catch of northern pike was low for this lake, and for lakes of this class. Catches of white sucker and burbot were similar to past catches in this lake. No walleye or smallmouth bass were found in 1998; they are not native to this area, and have never been found in this lake.
