Muskies continue to be a struggle for me. Had one lazy follow on a small buck tail by a really nice fish but I couldn’t get it interested in anything. Seems the fish really like the deep weed edges and may pop up in the evening to porpoise but I just haven’t had any luck hooking any.

Last nights conditions were awesome with cloud cover, little bit of rain, almost no traffic because of the weather and humid conditions but it was still zip for this guy. Hoping the heat turns the fish on.

Been a struggle for muskies on WB for me. Tried fishing the Mahtomedi shore as well as the south, east, and north end of Manitou without even seeing a fish. Weather's been a little funky but I'm fishing past dark 10 PM and still striking out. May have to head back to BE and see if actions kicking up over there again.

Went out to chase some muskies tonight. Fished all over Ordway's and down by Manitou and only saw one fish. Followed far back behind the bait. Been a tough bite on WB for ski's so far. Have managed to catch some impressive largemouth and small northerns on my muskie lures but unfortunately no ski's yet. Will probably have to start venturing to other area's of the lake to see if I can find some more active fish. Water temps dropped to 68 with the cooler air moving in, probably get back out on Thursday to give er another go.

The crappie seem to be starting their move to the shallows but not all have made it. Last week Friday I was catching nice fish in 10 ft and weeds. These last two nights I've fished I haven't located any deep but have found some up in the real shallow water. They've been tough to catch cause their either skiddish or hiding in water or cover so thick it's like bass fishing. Have only been using plastic jigs so far. Thinking maybe the warmer temps will get things in full gear. One item I've noted is that they don't seem to be behind the Manitou island. Alot of activity back there with kayakers and shore fishermen so maybe thats kept em out but they don't seem to be in there at all really.

Mostly fished for Walleyes on Sunday bouncing around the lake fishing various deep water spots and shallower weed edges and came up with nothing. This lake used to be great in the fall for walleye but I just haven't been able to hook any lately. I was fishing from about 11 to 4 so not peak times but there was some wind and cloud cover but still didn't help. Didn't cast much for musky so I can't offer much there.

Anyone been having an luck on the bear lately? Been out a few times chasing walleyes and muskies but have come up empty on both fronts. Weeds were way down from the long winter but they're marching back quickly. Hoping to change my luck tonight.

10/10. It was a slow early light window but the 830 to 930 hour was hot. This 47" was caught on a twitch bait and shortly after we raised two more in that same size class. Also caught one healthy pike around 30" in that same feeding window. Winds were SSE 15-25 for great drifting.

Great looks yesterday, lots of wind for great drifts and active muskies. Repeat customer Jerry joined the 50" club yesterday on just our third muskie trip together! Obviously he was ecstatic. Big Smile

East wind and clouds were moving some fish on 8/8. Pike with good size were showing up more often than normal. 5 pike were hooked at 5 lbs or better. Bass were also mixing into the catch. One muskie about 34" followed and presumably another one left a giant boil about 20 feet from the boat. This overcast weather has been good for the bite!
