Despite the frigid -14 temps the fish were actually biting pretty well. Got into more perch good sizes all full of eggs all released.
Hi everyone. Can someone recommend a place to stay for a couple nights stay, bait store, & where you can get lake access for ice fishing? You can pm me if you like. Any info would be appreciated!

I’d say ice was about 5-7” where I was fishing some areas have a lot less so be careful. Fishing was amazing! Excellent year class of perch this year. Got into some jumbos. Average size was about 10” a few 11 and 12s in there too. Probably caught over 50 perch of which over half were easily keepers. All released since the lakes been getting slammed so hard this year by everyone out fishing, hopefully they get a good spawn this spring and next year are even bigger and more plentiful.
To follow up on my question. The ice is good. Between 8 and 12 inches. Lots of cracking and popping sounds to get your heart pumping but it’s good ice. I saw several cars and a few trucks. Fish are there just not too hungry. I saw plenty of Perch and Walleyes on my Marcum but they were not biting. Good luck stay above the ice.
Any updates on the Ice conditions on Rush Lake would be greatly appreciated.

WOW!! Got talked into fishing Rush today, we walked out from the Grumpy Minnow. Ice was a bit sketchy, old 8" holes have become 10-12 plus holes that are open. There was 2" of water on the ice. Needless to say we got into the perch. In about 3 hours caught about 25 perch, some very nice ones had we been keeping them. Biggest was 10".
