Got out on Lake Wasserman Saturday morning after all the storms the night before. The water temps are dropping fast! Last time I was out on the lake it was 81 degrees and this morning I was reading 71 degrees! I knew the fish would be somewhat active with the cooler water, so I headed over to the north side of the lake to shoot some docks.
I started with pan fish lures and just couldn't get enough of crappies! So I switched up to some Texas rigged creature baits, but didn't get a bite. I later went to the lily pad area on the right side of the boat ramp to fish in the 3-4 feet of water. The weeds have started to push back and allowed me to jig some pan fish lures near the weed lines. And that was when I started to hook into the large mouth bass! Nothing of size but still fun to catch on this bright sky morning!
