Heading up to Shagawa in a couple of weeks for first time in a couple of years, wondering if there has been any improvement in size structure of walleyes?  Last time there, most of fish caught were in the 10" - 12" range. Thanks

I am heading up to Shagawa Lake from southern Iowa in a couple of days.  I am taking my parents on a fishing trip to celebrate their retirement.  I am looking to target mainly northern pike but also walleye.  Any tips would be appreciated.  Feel free to PM me.  Thanks for your help.

Hi Everyone:

I'm headed up to Shagawa over Memorial Day Weekend looking to catch some walleye.  This will be my first time fishing the lake and I would really appreciate any local pointers on catching walleye and/or perch.

You can PM me or reply here.  I would really appreciate it!

Shagawa has been producing walleyes at 15-18 feet this week. An early or preliminary mayfly hatch has been occurring. Using a leech with green beads has helped the catch.
