Lake Lucy is a somewhat of a private lake due to no public access or beach. Most of the boaters on the lake are locals that have lake front property. I decided to take a gander at trying to get on the lake via a waterway north of Lake Ann. Lake Ann (south) and Lake Lucy (north) is connected by this waterway and most kayaks can get through this shallow narrow if the water is high enough. With all the rain we have been getting, the water levels allowed easy access on the lake .
I stayed on the south end of the lake and fished the weed lines. I went straight to my go to lures for finessing pike and bass. I used jerk baits and shad paddle tail lures to catch a handful of pike and one 18 inch large mouth bass! I also got cut off 3 times by some pike! I look forward to spending more time on this lake in the future.
