Took a gamble this morning to get out on Lotus lake. It started raining at 8:30am to about 9am, but it stopped and the fish were definitely fussy biters for me. Caught a few large mouth bass here and there. Not the best day but still fun!

This was from Wednesday night. When the days get shorter I resort to fishing at night with slip sinker rigs with fatheads or minnows. Fishing at the beach I was able to get 1 walleye and many brown cats!
The ice is starting to melt guys!
Got out for a couple hours this afternoon. Fished the shallows with structure along the shore line. Got some large mouth bass on a jerk bait. Love this lake.
46° - 50° F
Crappies are finally moving into the shallows. Caught a few drop shot fishing with a 2 inch Power Bait Minnow.
36° - 40° F
Nice and calm out tonight. Although colde and cloudy I decided to try looking for pan fish again. I saw a few gills swimming in the shallows, but I only managed to catch an out-of-season large mouth bass.
36° - 40° F
Got some fishing in before the rain rolled in. Drop shot fishing using 2" Powerbait minnows. Didn't find any pan fish. Only caught a couple out-of-season large mouths.
It appears the small panfish bite is on. Is anyone ripping into any walleyes?
